Cowbridge Food & Drink Festival Fringe 2013

07 October 2013

Do you have an interest in local food? Are you a restaurant or retailer looking for a local supply, do you blog about local food, do you book food stalls for events?

Would you like to visit Cowbridge and support new food producers/products at the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival Fringe 2013?

We are looking for 8 ‘dignitaries’ (use of the term is loose!!) to tour the 10 new food producers/products that have been supported by Cywain to take part in this years’ food fringe. They are new enterprising businesses, or are trialling new products that benefit Welsh primary producers and we want to give them the opportunity to get some feedback, and to showcase their wares to the local food industry ‘movers and shakers’ (again – a loose term!) in a friendly and encouraging way.

4.15pm Tour assembles in community marquee located on the fringe site at the Old Hall Gardens, Cowbridge.

4.30-5.15pm Visit the 10 Cywain stalls nearby  - easily identified in Creative Rural Communities branded marquees. Have a look at the stall layout and product, brief chat to the producer.

5.15pm Return to marquee for hospitality and food sampling

5.30pm Joined by the producers who have an opportunity to give a 5 min presentation about their product, followed by an informal Q and A.

6.30pm Finish

One of the aims of the fringe is to offer an affordable platform for new producers to promote themselves. It would be great for them to have some industry feedback – and you never know who you might discover! Plus lots of other entertainment, stalls, art and craft to see while you are there.
