Grow, Graze, Make.

Agora is a brand-new project that provides free support to new and small businesses that produces goods that are grown, grazed and made in mid and south east Wales. We will achieve this by identifying individuals and businesses that:

  • have new business ideas they want to develop
  • have experienced the market and want to take the next step
  • has interest in collaborating

The project can support in adding value to primary produce. We will also provide 1-2-1 support and a chance for individuals to collaborate on new projects that will develop the market and add value to their businesses.

Agora’s services and support is available in the following counties: Powys, Merthyr Tudful, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend, Caerphilly and Newport.

The project is funded by Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020, and is led by Bridgend County Borough Council on behalf of the Regional Stakeholder Partnership for Land-based Goods.  The partnership includes 8 Local Action Groups encompassing 11 Local Authorities namely – Bridgend, Caerphilly & Blaenau Gwent, Cwm Taf (Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf), Vale of Usk (Monmouthshire and Newport), Neath Port Talbot, Powys, Torfaen and The Vale of Glamorgan.
